A Question For Pismo Beach Riders
#1
Yo guys whats up? I have a question for any pismo beach riders on here. The question is can you run race pipes at pismo beach? My banshee now has fmf fatty pipes with turbinecore 2 spark aresstors and i wanna run fmf powercore 2 silencers on my bike because I like the sound. So any riders that ride at pismo beach know that race pipes are allowed then please let me know.

Welcome to the forum Bansheeman007, I dont think they are legal, but the last time I was there, 7-04. I saw at least 4 banshee's with straight pipes, no mufflers. Things might have changed, but rangers didnt even seem to notice them.

Noise is limited to 96 decibals, there is a variance for older model years. They do sometimes check decibal ratings out there. Here's the vehicle code section that will apply 38370 cvc If you go, I would go slow through the camping area and then, open it up away from everyone. That way, you don't draw attention to yourself.
And, Welcome to the forum

Welcome to the forums!
I have been to Pismo 100 times (literally), and I have never seen a sound check. And I have heard all levels of sound. No one even concerns themselves with sound limits there. Never seen a muffler check there at all. (That's not to say 96 doesn't apply.)
Watch the 15 mph speed limit on the Beach and within 200' of camps. Lots of kids around and the Rangers will nail you for speeding.
Use common sense and you will not have a problem.
They have occasionlly checked stickers coming in the gate.
Don't ride double, wear a helmet, and have a whip and flag...or they will nail you.
And lock up your Bike at night.
If you go over the 4th of July, you will see the best fireworks anywhere!
Overnights sometimes are hard to get.
Enjoy the Beach....I love it there.
