Yes they are in the sand and they are reservable.

But just like Maxx said it's a good idea to do it WAY in advance.

During off-holiday weekend I don't believe you would have a problem getting a spot but if your thinking on going on Memorial, 4th of July, or Labor Day your probably pretty well screwed for this year.

If You want to try and reserve a sight the campgrounds work through reserveusa.com.

Only been to the Bull run access and the beach between Hauser and Spinreel.

Havn't made it up to Florence yet.
