It became a serious situation with the greedy and selfish aspirations of JDZ and “the board”.
A simple County Park located just outside a small town, an historical roadside park for weary travelers and hard working drivers off the long roads of Texas and New Mexico.
The perfect family place to play, camp and enjoy the sand dunes.
Everyone benefited!!
A couple of years ago, a devious plan began. A wolf in sheep clothing with a plan of conquest, determined to take the area by any means of deception. Without thought for anyone other than himself, He would rule over all. He will determine the how, when and where. He will cater to his specific desires.
With the audacity to lay claim and take control of what was not his, he disrupted and corrupted the area. All the reasons so many were drawn to the area became point of contention. He created turmoil in an area, which for the most part respect ruled.
A free area, or more aptly put an area of “freedom”. It was free for Him too! He determined he would benefit ($$) from the free parking, free trash pickup, and free range, which surrounded his property. But freedom died under his dictatorship.
Prime example: No Fireworks. (Yes the recklessness of people who do not clean up the debris the reason). On the fourth of July…people for miles around would gather in this community park to celebrate freedom. Not just ATV riders, everyone. People would be parked everywhere and families gather.
Money Spent, Memories Made.
His arrogance demolished a historical park.*
THE DAY THE BULLDOZERS ROLLED THRU THE PARK…THE SANDHILLS DIED FOREVER!

Easy to say when the county is providing the parking, trash removal, law enforcement and his tiny area is not marked off on all sides. He can make a buck on the back of others, but will close the area if someone interferes with the deviant plans he has laid.
The county responded:

it is still a business and if we have to dump a lot of cash into a new parking area simply because someone wants to buy the parking area and make money on our investment by allowing trespassing on our land simply put, it will close.
