any one know what its like up there this time a year any one know whats it like riding wise? we gota planned trip for hopefully the end on march 08 got get the suzuki comepletely rebuilt ( needs a crank) . so yeah shannon

I know part of it is closed fro awhile in the winter for Elk Migration but I am not sure when it re-opens. And I am sure there is still snow up there right now. I would call the BLM or Desert oasis, or SandHills Resort to make sure, Or get ahold of someone from there, Crapo85 on this forum is from there maybe through him a PM.

It usually clears in late march early april. But can still be pretty cold. They most likely have a lot of snow right now.

There is still lots of snow here so if traveling too far not really worth it plus anything west of thunder is closed till april 1st.

I heard the blm was keeping everything west of thunder closed till may 1st this year due to heavy snow fall and migratory behavior
