Need a little info here.

Im going to be buying some sand tires but want to know some of everyones best buy opinions. I have some tires picked out (front and rear and rims) but want to get the best buy available.

I have picked out the Sand Skate Unlimited II's 20x11x10 w/Douglas .190 (4-115) rims and for the front GBC Shark Fins 21x7x10 w/douglas .190 (4-156) rims.

I can prolly get all this for about 350-400. Any of you know where and if I can get these cheaper? And the reason I picked the GBC's for front is they are the cheapest I found and I figured the fronts arent that much of a difference from brand to brand.

Thanks!

I went with GBC dune tracker fronts(one rib), I have not used them yet, but I thought they looked like they would hook up better.
I got mine at rocky mountain atv. I've been very happy doing business with them, they seem to have some of the best prices too.

I ran Skate II's on my 425X I used to have they have great hook up and turn well, I'm running Skate I's and Razorbacks up front and I think I need a little more hook up. Sand Tires Unlimited makes a quality tire and they also support the sport, they gave $40,000 to the American Sand Association.

Jiga, whatever you do dont get the shark fin, my friend had them and they sucked bad. I would go with the Mohawks if you want that kind of rib on there, but I recommend going with the dunetracker, thats what I have on mine and they work the best, after my friend rode mine he switched to them to. I would suggest getting an 8 inch rim for the rear instead of the 10. By having more sidewall, you get better floation at low speeds and the tire will grow in height at high speed giving you more top end.

I would by a set of Skat-Trak 8 paddle "Edges" for the rear and a set of Skat-Trak "Mohawks" for the front, all on .190 wheels. I have ran both Sand Skate II's and Skat-Traks and prefer the Skat-Traks, they are lighter, spin up faster and don't flex as much.

Best price... you'd have tp check the magazines.
I have the Skate II's on the rear and the Dune trackers (single rib) on the front of my Banshee and I'm totaly satisfied with them. I would Stick with the 10" as there closer to the overall dimensions of the stock tires and so won't alter gearing as much. Also less side wall height will keep the tire on the bead better, but be a little rougher riding. I have never experienced any flexing with my Skate II's.

Jiga,

I have a buddy that has a couple of set of dune tires in his garage that he used for 1 trip before he sold his banshee. Send me an email and I can tell you a little more about them and I will ask how much he wants for them.
