i recently bought a 2002 trx400ex but it doesn't have enough power. it's completly stock all except the paddles and the uni filter. i removed the top of the filter box and the plastic air intake pipe, thinking it more air would help, but it's not even close to being enough. i was thinking a 440 kit but that can be pretty pricy. i'm going to be putting a pipe on soon (wb e series i've heard are the best for the hondas)any info you might have will be well appreciated
thanks

First I hope you rejetted after your filter/intake mods! Second, get a pipe, a cam, and change your gearing.

OK for glamis I have the setup for you. First ditch the uni and get a K&N with outerwear. Next go with a DMC dual exhuast. Then do your motor work. We went with a 413, cam, hardened rockers, oversize valves, and rev box. This setup works extrememly well, you will beat 440s up the hill. You will probably beat a few banshees too. Trust me, it will make a huge difference in the performance of the bike. IT is like it isn't even the same bike anymore. We had peak performance do the machine work, he did an awesome job and was quite reasonable. Unfortunately I don't know how to get a hold of him, but I know he is in the San Diego area.
