The sand at Silver Lake is a powdery sugar sand made up of pure quartz granules all about the same size. When you try to walk on it you sink in about an inch or two each step. With the Haulers on, it lightens the front end enough that the Mohawks, with their serrated center rib, don't do alot for turning. You throw impressive quanities of sand, but keep plowing forward. I'd be curious to see how a solid center rib would do, but didn't want to spend the money to find out so I put the stock Dunlops back on the front for now. The problem was increased with the addition of the Dynojet kit and ProDesign/K&N/Outerwear (mainly the Dynojet) because it really sharpened up the response, made it more "snappy", and thus easier to loft the front end, intentional or not.
