The Sand Skate II from Sandtires Unlimited is a good tire. If you want economy get the GBC sand shark or sand devil. Don't forget helmets and flags.

Ride first, buy paddles later if you need them.
Raptors ride wheelies in stock trim up Oldsmobile Hill in CA. near Glamis ( Imperial Sand Dunes )
V-force won't have any problems.

My 650P didn't in CA. or OK.

I agree. Ride in the sand with stock tires, if good tread, and see how you do. Sand tires make it very hard to turn, V-paddles help but still dont do as good as stock. If you want to get into some sand drags you might want some or if you ride in the sand a lot. I bought some because I ride in the sand a lot but if you are gonna break out the sand paddles 1 or 2 times a year then I wouldn't worry about it. Its up to you though.

If you'd like a place to stay our doors will be open to you. I know camping on the beach is extremely cold, sandy, and everybody needs showers. Motels can be expensive too. We are about 10 minutes from the beach and have a complete shop in the back and you can wash your bikes off to keep them from rusting. Id hate for you to travel 2000+ and need a part or a machine shop. Let us know, we'd be more then happy to help you travelers out.
