He is right about Glamis! The dunes at Dumont are monster tall. I personally like the greater variety you find at Glamis. You are already driving a couple thousand miles, what is a few more hours going to matter?? Or do both!!!

Default ? about Dumont

We made the trip to Dumont from Mn last winter. Dumont was great! I have never been to Glamis though. If you are going to Glamis, you may want to take the south route. Driving through the Denver route, pulling a trailer is a challenge. Hours of mountain driving, on ice! The scenery is pretty cool though! If you take the Denver route, and have a big trailer, make sure that your trailer brakes are working. Ours weren't, and many times I would look in the mirror and see the trailer starting to slide out going down hill.

go to map quest, type in for destenation, pahrump, NV. and its 35mi from their
