Default St. Anthony ?'s

I keep hearing about this or that being closed for camping. I hear the lake camping is closed. I don' tknow what is true or not. Anyone know? How is sandhills? Where is it located in relation to the lake and say thunder mountain? I am bringing the motorhome and want to camp somewhat close to thunder mountain. Any suggestions? I will be there next weekend.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I always camp at the Sand Dunes Resort - it is pretty decent with hookups and grass and trees, etc. It is 5 miles to Thunder mountain from there - takes about 15 minutes to ride. I don't know the deal with the BLM campground. If you are going to stay at the resort better make reservations. There is also Desert Oasis with hookups and close to Thunder Mountain - I don't know much about it though.

Cool thanks, do you have any information as to get a hold of these guys? I have been up there 5 times, but I am never the planner. So it sounds like you suggest Sand Dunes resort.

Sand Dunes Resort: (208) 624-4127

Desert Oasis RV Park. (208) 624-3275

There you go. Like I say, the resort is a nice place to camp if you don't mind the 4 or 5 mile drive to Thunder moiuntain - it's a well marked path through the dunes - there are big poles in the sand and you can tell because everybody takes that route. It's pretty fast going and fun.
