That's the ONLY ATV trail in Salt Lake County, the largest county in Utah.

Its 5.3 miles from the bottom to the top.

It my very favorite trail.

Still, I'd have a tough time talking myself into a 2 hour trip to ride a 5 mile trail.

the waterfall is near the beginning of the trail. This one is at the top. You gain almost 3500 ft in elevation.

This is my favorite trail. I usually plan a trip when I'm doing something else is SLC.

However, if my friends wanted to go I would too.

"Piute County Sheriff's Office responded to a RZR ATV that caught fire while the rider was inside. The man was able to get out unharmed. Officials say they were able to keep the flames from spreading until Marysvale fire crews could get a truck to the location. A witness took this video. In the video, she says the man is from Florida, and he tells her this is a 2018 RZR with around 200 miles on it."

You might need a FB account to open and watch this video.

This is a brand new 2018 RZR with 200 miles on it.

I loath Polaris. How many of these pieces of **** going to burn to the ground and how may people are going to either be injured or killed in these death traps?

I marvel that people even buy them.

Yet the masses will still defend Polaris even with many examples of their products burning to the ground. I suppose one should feel lucky a massive forest fire wasn't started

I'm still kind of shocked it hasn't been addressed yet. At the least the government can make them recall them. I've yet to see a fire from one and I see a lot of them on the trail. Don't know quite what to think beyond that.

Polaris has issued recalls on the Rzr, several of them in fact. My last Rzr was a 2016, and there were three recalls. I believe two of the recalls were to address possible causes of fires. The constant recalls and stop ride orders that came with them is one part of the reason I am on Can Am's now. Although, Can Am just issued a recall for the fuel tank vent on most of their ATVs, so they aren't perfect either.

This has been going on for 5 years now. When is enough enough?

When are they going to fix it? 450,000 recalled so far.

Like Moose said, people defend Polaris. They think because Polaris is the number one selling SxS that for some reason its OK to have problems. But catching on fire for 5 years running??

Its really a sad situation.

I figured out why they're having all the problems. Here are the definitions of Polaris: noun
  1. Astronomy. the polestar or North Star, a star of the second magnitude situated close to the north pole ofthe heavens, in the constellation Ursa Minor: the outermost star in the handle of the Little Dipper.
  2. a two-stage U.S. ballistic missile, usually fired from a submerged submarine.
Both have a lot to do with large amounts of fire. It's a no-win situation....
