Looks like God did a cut and fill. Worse comes to worse you can fill in between the big rocks with smaller ones to make ramps. Got through a couple straight drop off deep trenches that way after severe rains washed the trails out. Do you have other trails you can still ride from your house? I wouldn't want your Honda to be lonely until the trail gets reopened. I think watching paint dry is usually faster than waiting for the government.

I have a more it's just that one was the closest to play when I just need a fix.

I doubt it will be closed long. Between the Paiute Trail Committee, the Forest Service along with us willing to lend a hand I'm thinking the first of the year. (keeping fingers crossed)

You could then call it the "Rock Island Line Camp" (HA!)

Merry Christmas Specta

Hope for a great New Year and someday we will meet!

The high here today was 12º and it was still a very beautiful day.

It's been a tad on the cold side here for a while, -11º last night and it's currently sitting at 9º and should dip into the minus again tonight. We won’t see freezing till later this week.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Nothing brings out a blue sky like sub zero temps.

I’d be more than happy to help you all I can. Sometimes I run into a little conflict of interest taking groups out for rides because I do that for the people that I work for, I do guided tours.

I would always love to sit down with you and your group with a map and help you plan your rides and I will help you find the best place for you to stay.

I live and work at Big Rock Candy Mountain. I would love you to stay here but it's more important to me that you come out here and experience the adventure of a lifetime rather than where you stay.

I can provide links and personal knowledge of just about every motel, RV Park, cabin and bed & breakfast that is best suited for your needs.

If you have young kids seriously consider being here for the 24th of July, a State holiday and a huge town calibration for everyone in the family.

Late July early Aug is a great time of year to be here.

Stay in touch, my door is always open.

These links will overload you with with information on the Paiute Trail and what we have to offer. I suggest buying a Paiute Trail map prior to coming out.
