The trans failure was my fault. I didn't change the oil for the last 5000 miles of its life.
If it still ran I wouldn't have my BF so it was a good thing.
I do like my BF. I've had zero issues with it.
I have no doubt that I'll get tons of miles out of it.
Its about due for another oil change.

I was due for a new machine. Loved my Rubicon but it was time.
Here in Utah we have 1000s of miles of 50" trails so that cuts the choice way down on SxSs.
I still prefer to ride than to drive.
Another recall on 13,500 new RZRs.
I am probably one of the worlds biggest anti Polaris people.
They will cut any corner to save a buck.
I have plenty of friends that have them and love them.

It was about 65F here yesterday. Its been really windy though, made it feel a lot colder out there. I'm a bit torn as to whether I want a sxs or not. I like riding my BF. I like how I can use my body weight to manipulate it. If it gets stuck, I can sometimes muscle it out. Its pretty peppy even though its an older dual carb 650 twin. I'm a person who doesn't like spending extra money even though I have the means to do so. I think frugally in all things. The older Rzr 800 was the one I was thinking about, that's about the only Polaris that didn't catch on fire. That was back when Polaris didn't try to cut so many corners. The Teryx would be fine but weighing twice as much as the BF 750 with the same power makes for a much slower machine. I wish Kawasaki would make a smaller one, a 50" model, with the new 800 engine. I've seen the new Wolverine priced at under 9 grand new locally. Still more money than I want to spend but I've seen some quads that cost more than that. I"ll probably keep riding my BF, right now that choice doesn't cost extra. I was just at a Can-Am dealer last week and I commented how I wish they would make a 50" utv. Maybe they will. I still think that's a market that is not being fully tapped. Yamaha could make a 50" Wolverine. The 708cc single would feel a lot sportier in a lighter utv.

Man ole Man, how I wished I live in Utah!!! You guys are blessed to live there. I live in Southeast Texas and we have to go about 2 hours north just to get into some small hills that are only 100 feet high. We do have a ton of pine trees and mud, but Texas isn't as friendly for ATV as other states because most of Texas is privately owned and the National Forest, which are very big, limit the areas one can ride.
So we ride at our 50 acre farm, the deer lease and ATV parks, but the ATV parks are typically all about mud and mud bogging.
One day soon, I want to plan a two week trip to Utah and ride those trails.

Headed out the other day for Iron Mtn.
I decided to see if I could get up to the tailings way up there.
1/2 way
Doesn't too well traveled.
Not well traveled at all. LOL
On top. the red arrow points to where I took the picture from the bottom.
Heading back down.
My original destination, Iron Mountain.
The switchbacks are just fun.
