Lucky!!!!! Tired of winters here in oregon......I have lived in Odessa, tx. My sister just moved back to oregon from outside san antonio. I know the cost of living is much less, land is cheap, real estate hasn't been hit like the west coast, and there are some grreat places to eat! Good luck with your move, I know moves are not easy, but exciting!

I can't wait for the next WARM Winter..
We moved from AZ. to MO. what a mistake... as the only thing that is bad there is Tornadoes, Winter, too much rain in the spring.. other than that MO. is great I was born there but I like the Southwest a bit better..

Check out Hidden Falls Adventure Park, 3500 acres of trails just west of Austin in Marble Falls. Not sure where you should live I guess it depends on where you work and how far you are willing to drive. I would look at the west side of town though. Lot's of places to ride in Texas you'll love it.
