Default does a 1995 xplorer 400 use crankcase oil?

I recently was given a 400xplorer and I am not aware of weather it needs crankcase oil or not. It has a big air intake that comes out of the bottom and the intake ends by the hood cover. so how would I lube it?

that motor is a 2 stoke. put any twc3 oil in the reservoir in the hood.. on the side with the flywheel there is a dipstick at the back of the motor just to the side of the carb. thats the only engine oil for the engine but its just for the counterbalance gears. it takes 10w30 oil

if the dip stick for the counterbalance and its milky or nasty (like old oil) then change it..there is a drain on the bottom of the motor
