Anyone ever use one to inject grease in the NON-zerked connections, clean the rubber with alcohol and apply a dollup of rubber cement (or similar)?

I figure the pressure on these boots is minimal so if the hole is kept small like with a grease needle and sealed up it could work without creating more problems than I started with (I have no problems, just thinking of doing it for preventative maintenance).
