I live in mid Mo. and Im looking for a good place to set up a camping/ riding weekend. I would like to find a place with good trails and a track would be good. We are planning on a 3 day trip. I dont mind going to ks, Il if we find some place good.

HI neighbor!!!! There are several great places to ride in the area....there is actually one right by you that I forget the name of, i'll look it up in the AM. I take my brute force down to Deepwater, MO for the 'Cooper Creek ATV area" which is a blast and is right on truman lake, some awesome fishing around that area!!! There is also a place by St. Louis called St. Joe Park or something like that, a lot of illinois guys go there.
EDIT: THe place near you is called 'finger lakes' here is their website
Finger Lakes State Park, a Missouri State Park near Columbia

st joes is getting smaller. i live 45min from there and as you mentioned,it gets boring. We tend to reide national forest trails near potosi or near fredericktown (i have a farm there). another place is suttons bluff. just google: atv riding in mo. several should pop up. chadwick is another great place to camp and ride. Infact that is a real fun place for a family. trails are marked easy, moderate, difficult. you need a tag/pass to ride but its worth it. you can get them at a gas station near there. rv hookup, arestrooms too if im not mistaken. its my choice for riding in mo. but ive only made it there once and i broke an axle rock climbing.
