I too always wear mine unless I'm doing some work around the cabin or just putting down the road to the gas station. The only times I didn't wear it when I probably should have been was a couple of winters ago when I was riding up north, the air temp was -20 F, and windchills around 50 to 60 below....I literally couldn't wear my helmet, too much exposed skin and I didn't have a snowmobile helmet at the time. Had to get out and do some ice tubing though!

This last year I picked up a set of full riding boots and a neck donut to occasionally accompany my light duty chest protector, helmet, and googles that go on with every trip.

 

Working around the farm, never. Pleasure riding, always.

Yep, I hate to even ride with somebody who does not wear one. Why, I just hate draging thier lifeless carcass out of the woods.

 

I had heard that most accidents happen within 8 miles of home - so I moved.

 

i do most of the time, only time i dont is when i am the lake just going for a cruise or just riding around the yard

i got my first wheeler in about 93'/94' the teachers in school asked if i had a helmet. i said no. so they got me one. i only wore it during winter, and a few times here and there. but for the most part i havent.

 

It's OK to ride without a helmet, Darwin Principal, nature's way of getting stupid out of the gene pool.

 

If I am just running out to the ice house or running around the farm I dont wear one. But when I am running trails I always wear a helmet. I am glad I was wearing one the day I had the wheeler roll back on top of me when I was climbing hills.
