Default Snow tire Q

All,
More noobie Q's... If my ability to push snow is directly related to my traction, are tires a huge factor? If they are, does anyone have suggestions? I have looked around on-line and the variations are amazing. From $33.00 per tire to $133.00 per tire (OK maybe for illustriative purposes a bit exaggerated, but still...). 2 ply vs. 6 ply? More is better? I have stock tires on my 450 Kingquad Suzuki. Any thoughts would be great...

I used my zillas briefly this Winter plowing when I had the tracks off and they worked really well. Way more traction than stock.

X2 On the Zillas great snow/mud tire! And yest a tire makes a great difference in plowing and riding in general!

Well i may as well put another vote for the zillas too, they worked excellent for me as far as plowing snow goes. I thought the pxt's were pretty decent until i got the zillas, it was a nice improvement...

Gotta put my vote in for the Terra-Cross. Radials are always a good bet for snow traction. They have a soft rubber compound and do great on ice as well. With over 180" of snow this season, I never had any question as to my choice of the T/C's.

You won't be disappointed.

Default How much can you push?

Thanks all! I appreciate the feedback. I started checking around on-line. How much snow can you push with your quad? We had major snow this year in Jersey (for us) and two storms dumped the real heavy icy mess kind.
Thanks again!

Takes some learning but once you gauge the traction/power of your ride and can work the plow right no amount of snow is a problem. The problem is where to put it since you are limited to how high you can bank with tires(and space). Tracks were one of the best purchases I ever made for my ride. Can plow snow as high and far as I want to. Paid off huge with the big storms we had this year!
