I didn't know if the newer utilities had decent suspension of if the were still about the same.
The 450 Grizzly is nice but with low range ,diff lock and IRS they will cost more also.
A Kodiak/Grizzly 400 with the 401cc liquid cooled (Not a 400 Big Bear air cooled motor) would be faster and cost less, no low range,Diff lock,IRS but it is selectable 4wd.

Well, my son, myself, and a couple buddies went riding today. Everything except really deep waterholes. Trails, big rocky climbs, mudholes about a foot deep, piles of slash left by loggers, and rutted old trails. The Renegade did as well as our Sportsmans did in the much and everything else for that matter. That's with stock tires. I think it is worth it to have the IRS rear with a 4wd after watching my son today. Areas that his Polaris ATP, which had a straight rear axle, were no problems for the Renegade. It went everywhere that my X2 did with Mudlite XTRs. Great quad.

Renegade 500 is good and i use it regularly.Easily i can drive it .
