utility quad for fast trail riding

can't say really- was too long for me to want to read. I'm sure it all made perfect sense. I try not to read 1000+ word essay's when I'm not being graded on them

I can't imagine a rene 800 getting taken by an ex-

the only area the ex would have an edge over the rene is in a sand pit, and even then not very much if the rene rider is experienced- the first root or rock you hit at any speed over 25-30 mph on a SRA EX and it's all over the trail- That was the reason why I sold mine 100%- the EX was totally useless out side the pit. I tried to keep up with the other riders (on my 440ex) who were all on IRS atv's in the trails and even logging roads and it was miserable and uncomfortable- and I've been riding aggressively since 10 years old (26 years ago). It was all over the place at high speeds.

Glad to hear you drive a 600+lb machine in trails better than a 350-370lb sport quad.
I'm not saying the EX wouldnt bang the crap outta you but I mean C'mon I thought we were racing. These heavy quads don't stop or turn well at high speeds just physics man.
I would destroy any 4x4 machine on any actual trail any day with a 400+ cc sport quad.. granted it isnt a old railroad bed for 30 miles straight..
Hell I think I would rather use a rengade in a pit that 800 would own the pit walls no problem!

that's a good one-
I've been riding sport quads & 4x4 atv's for 26 years bro- you ain't keeping up with any rene 800 on ANY trail- ha ha ha- you need to come ride with me, you're only 250 miles away... bring a pound of crow to eat, you'll need it!

I might as well chime in. The trails that are local to me are all tight, twisty and rocky and all woods. Top speed is no more then 35mph and sometimes that's pushing it. I ride my 450 grizz with offset wheels and 26" zillas, some other friends ride a rancher 400at, renegade 500, kodiak 400, wolverine 450, and 660 grizz. Other then the wolverine and renegade the others cant keep up with me on these trails. That being said I also keep right up with the Gade and Wolvy. The honda is a dog and the 660 is too big and tippy even with offset wheels and wider tires. Now their are a few 1/4 mile runs within the woods were you can open it up and the 660 still doesn't blow anyone away. The Gade and the wolvy both will beat me though but not by much. A few other locals have popo 850xp's and they can't even keep up with the 660 on the trails but in the winter on the ice they blow everyone away.....lol

They must not be very good riders then... I've got $100.00 that says no Grizzly 660 is keeping up with me on my 850 on the trails here in WNY.
