Default Buy a Trailer!

Not my money...just my two cents--take the money you will be spending on a good set of aluminum ramps and apply it towards a cheap used trailer. I just sold a tilting two place snowmobile trailer on CL for less than 300 bucks. Not in the best condition but definitely better than folding your ramps on the way into your truck bed!

If you can get a tilt trailer that is 101x96" you can fit two full sized quads on there. I bought a 12'x101" and we put 2 side by side facing forward and use the ramps to put one on facing sideways. If we have an extra guy with a small quad we put that in the bed of the pickup. The trick to tilt trailers is to have both quads loading at the same time. With one quad it's a breeze.

I have both ramps and trailer,I use the trailer for fishing trips so the box of the truck is empty for camping gear.
For a day ride it easier to load the ATV in the truck, some of the staging areas are hard enough just to park and turn the truck back around let alone with a trailer on the back. Also you may need to do a few stops at store for beer and gas on the way in traffic and small parking lots. Its much easier with the ATV in the truck.

I cant even get my atv in my truck with the 12" x 27" x 12" itp's.
I have an avalanch- so they put storage boxes built into the space behing the wheel well- with the tail gate down and the mid-gate open, I'll have a 10' x 4' bed which can me covered with the panels. It's pretty nice but I had to buy a trailer.

this is why i'm glad i have an 8' bed on my f150, the ramps i'd recomend probably wouldn't fit in your bed though, i have a set of aluminum reese ramps from lowes that i paid 120 for, and its the best investment yet, i ride my quad into my bed all the time with them and no issues.
Never did like the idea of folding ramps, u might be able to get these to fit in your bed because they aren't actually 8' long, you could put them on either side of the quad and they might stick out over the tailgate a little but not much, they're only 7.5' long, but don't seem like it
if you are gonna get folding ramps, i recomend these Shop Carry-On Trailer Folding Steel Ramp at Lowes.com they are what my buddy uses and we've loaded some pretty heavy quads with them, they're not all that heavy either, but store away easily in a short bed, and thats 400 lb's per ramp, however like i said, we've loaded some heavy quads with these before and they've never bent or budged, not even with a polaris 800 ho

however these are the ones i have
Shop Reese 90" Arched Aluminum Ramp at Lowes.com i caught them on sale for 110 a year ago, its funny because my brother just bought a 5'x8' trailer for 100 2 weeks ago now that we'll be redoing the deck on so we can haul 2 quads on it.

just remember, if your quad weighs double more than what your tailgate can handle with you on it, take it off before loading the quad, my buddy made that mistake when he was loading his rancher 420 in the back of his s-10, snapped one, if not both of the tailgate cables and he had to take it off to re-load it.
