Default How's this for a battery !

Welcome to Hot Rod Batteries!

Called and talked to a guy there and said he uses them in his quad with no problems.

HRB 11...$185
HRB 14...$225 (on sale for $185)
HRB 20...$265

5 year warranty...non pro-rated. Little steep in price but may be worth it.

I first saw this in a magazine and the article said the h.p. rating of the battery (which is how they are rated) is over 1000 CCA

Just thinkin'...

is it really nessesary? why would you need a 1000 cca battery for an atv
My 6cy 300 hp fuel injected ski / wake boat uses a 1000cca battery, and it has electric ballast tanks- I think it's a little (actually a lot) silly and a huge waste of money for an atv IMHO.

All I ever bought for my atv's and bikes were the $65 walmart atv batteries, and I never had any issues with them- they last for years- and I use grip warmers & extra halogens when riding.

Those batteries are designed for extended storage and cycling over a high compression V-8 hot rod, not a single cylinder atv, unless I'm missing something

Seems like it would fry the wiring harness.

You have to call for pricing. I always heard if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it.

Oh I don't know...

Got my starter motor in for a rebuild right now and if that doesn't fix the problem , I may go with one of these bad boys. I spend a lot of time out on the ice in some real cold weather and somedays she just won't crank fast enough to fire. Besides, I can use it for my shanty lights and lawn tractor in the summer. We'll see...

I have no problem having to call for prices, not real uncommon. Kinda along the lines of going to the restaraunt and the cost of a lobster on the menu is "Market Price".

Talked to the guy who did my starter and said he has heard of these...a type of "glass mat" battery similar to those used in electronic devices (cell phones). He said they won't burn anything up, but they will spin that starter in a hurry so watch the overheat!
