Default Quad for adult under $5,000.

I am 5'7" and weigh 170lbs. I am looking for a utility or sport atv that would be good for light trail riding. I don't need something that is the king of the market. I use to have a CRF 150F dirt bike that carted me around fast enough which was around a top speed of 50-55 mph.

What utility and sports quads would be able to accomplish this? I am trying to keep it under $5,000.

A good used Honda 400ex or Suzuki ltz400 would be great for you. And a fairly new one in good shape would be about 3k (maybe less if you shop enough) around here.

Check Craigslist and the local papers.

Good luck!

...yeah, around here, we can pick up 2007-2008 honda 400exs all day long for $3k or less that are in mint condition!!!! a bunch of the quads were impulse purchases and just sit in a garage till the owner is sick of it sitting there. they just wanted to keep up with their buddies for a weekend. a bunch of them are dang near mint condition. like stated earlier, craigslist, local facebook swap shop website, thriftynickel, and local radio/Tradio programs. good luck

For that price, I would look at these 2011 Yamaha Grizzly 350 Automatic ATVs

I perfer the Yamaha 350 Grizzly over the trail boss 330, because it has shaft drive not chain and larger 25" wheels.

I never buy new because for $5000 I would buy a good condition 700 4wd Grizzly before a new 2wd 350 Grizzly.

I would not worry about 4wd that much if your on a budget,we ride with a 2wd 300 Kawaski Lakota and he put on aggressive 24" mud tires on the back and we are amazed how he stays with us through the nasty sections.
