In new Zealand we call it coke or pepsi or what ever the flavour is.

Never hear pop around here, it's either a coke or a soda.

i am from central mass and its soda, but i am stationed down in pensacola florida and i hear every thing. another couple things i have noticed are coolers vs ice and chest water fountin vs bubbler i know thier is a lot more i just cant think of them right now

mon-thurs it's called a lunch box / ice chest... on friday, it's a "cooler"

bubblers are only located in san francisco

soooo- if I'm at a party and my wife asks me what I want to drink, and I say a "coke".... what is she bringing back to me? How can you call a soda / pop or tonic a "coke" when the term "coke" is associated with the brand name Coca-Cola?
