stuffed mushrooms (not the one's that make you see pretty colors, scoot ) cornbread stuffing, butternut squash, olive loaf, green bean casserole... lumpy gravy???

personally- my favorite is turkey / stuffing / cranberry sauce stuffed in a loaf of fresh italian bread and dipped in a bowl of gravy

Mom used to make a cranberry sauce that I still miss. Can't remember what all went in to it. Cranberries, oranges, walnuts, sugar and I'm sure some other things. All ran through the old fashioned hand crank meat grinder that she still has. Not really anything special, just a reminder to me of Thanksgiving growing up.

The wife's idea of cranberry sauce comes from a can.

Oh, and the mushrooms. The magical ones that make you see all the inlaws going out the front door.

Don't really have anything I'd consider an appetizer. Favorite sides to the turkey are, Mom's homemade stuffing, fresh butternut squash, and dinner rolls. Her stuffing has bread, celery, apples, and a few ingredients she won't tell us. Still cooks it in the bird. Mmmmmmmm..............

Have a blessed Thanksgiving, all, from the state of the first Thanksgiving.

mom also makes stuffing in the bird- apples, dates & almonds. I think I'd be happy just eating stuffing all night

Blessings to you and your family as well, moose... and scoot
