Default Any Cigar or Pipe smokers here?

Just wondering how many Cigar smokers we have on the forums.

Me, I used to be a Drug store cigar smoker since 1976. Then a few months ago a member here on the forums got me to try some hand rolled imported cigars.

I then realized that I have been smoking crap for most of my life. Now I enjoy the simple pleasures of a fine cigar a few times a day.

Like you, I thought I was smoking good cigars from the local drug store. Got a couple nice ones for Christmas one year, then started looking at deals on line.

Nice little habit now.

Started smoking them about 12 yrs ago playing golf with my dad.. He was being taken down by frontal lobe dimensia and liked to play golf and smoke cigars.. He has been gone 8 yrs now..and while I dont play golf anymore... I like smoking cigars... Really like Cuban cigars but rarely have money for them.. I usually buy closeouts and samplers to get decent cigars at a decent price..

No, there's a lot of other habits you could start though.

Buying us all drinks comes to mind.

Congrats on the 2 years.

I enjoy an occasional non-habitual puff on a nice pipe. There is a small smoke shop in a mall in Norman, OK. It's about a 45 minute drive from me but, when we make the trip I must stop by. Some extraordinary tobacco's sold there.

a good cigar every once in a while is my "habit", might go through a couple dozen a year, mostly in summer during a round of golf or at the fire pit watching stars after a long day; either way it is usually paired with a cold one or a bit o scotch : )
have ordered samplers from Thompson's, don't do enough to hone in on fav's but i recall the R&J V2's as a preferred smoke , too.

Yeah, I started last year while stationed in Iraq, it was quite popular, I ordered from jrcigars.com, great prices but shipping expensive. All we had over there was O'Doul's to sip with a smoke so now I have to have a cold one with the cigar or forget it. Since I've never smoked in my 50 years I didn't care for the large ring sizes... once I found one I liked, I just stuck with that.

Since I got back the only time I have a cigar now is when we're riding quads at the beach, so I bet I don't smoke more than 3 or 4 this year.
