Ehh- anyone set against utility 4x4's has never ridden a can-am outlander / renegade 800. Not many atv's (sport or utility) that can outrun a twin rotax bigbore. Forget about an outty or Rene 1000-

It's tough to ATV that deep in New England. You're going to die from hypothermia at some point.

Sport quads and utilities serve two different purposes.
I can't think of one for the sport quad right now.
Everybody has different riding styles.
I find some entertainment in the SBB but its not something that interests me.
I'd much rather enjoy climbing a nice two-track trail up a tight narrow canyon
to the top of a 10,000 ft peak with an awesome view.
