Next time i find that hill I'm gonna try to get a video.. or at least a pic.

The other day i read in the paper, 2 teenagers were killed when their utiility rolled over on them.

Helmets or no helmets? Yes, a 650 lb. machine will cause more pain than a 400 lb. machine. No doubt about it. It's like the difference if I tackled you or Beergut tackled you. You're more likely to survive his tackle than mine.

I've ridden both. Ground clearance, traction, routing of the air intake, and torque (in low gear) are better on a utility than a sporty. They each have their place. I don't pull out as many utilities as I do sport quads.

I wish I could invite you up here to see how you do in the 3' deep mud/waterholes. It'd be a great time and good for years of stories afterwards.

my father-in-law lost his life when his sportquad came over on him climbing a step bank,..had his helmet on too! handle bar poked threw eye opening in helmet, real bad,.. riding any 4wheeler or motobike is dangerous but statistically safer than riding in a car...

translated (undiplomatic)...

"your sporty wouldn't make it 1000' into a northern new-england winter / early spring trail before we 4x4 riders had to rescue your sport-riding ***. And then we'd laugh and poke fun at you for years, telling everyone about that crazy sportie who thought his SRA 300ex (or what ever) could go where a 4x4 ute could"

(ps- excluding jgar and his 400ex, which has displayed amazing "anit-gravity" properties in the past )
