Sonic Cleaners or Carb cleaner

I've used carb cleaner for years, either the spray or back when you could get the GOOD stronger Berryman carb dip, have dipped carbs in this and have come out sparkling clean,BUT you have to make sure with the spray or dip cleaners that ALL rubber parts are removed! Berrrymans still has the dip at many auto stores but its less caustic now because it's classified as a hazardous chemical. Just take the jets out and all rubber parts, wear protective gloves and glasses if you use the spray because it does burn the skin.Plus if you ever order a small wire jet cleaner kit from your local cycle dealer you will wonder why you never had this in your tool box before!! Never have use the sonic cleaning method but heard it's good also. OPT

Actually I use neither , the point in cleaning a carb is to makes sure the jets are not blocked and I use this method with a wire. Disassembly and Cleaning of a Mikuni Round slide Carburetor
