I bought a Polaris 500 and the person who owned it disconnected the wires from the solenoid.
Is there someone who could tell me how they hook up. There are three cables going to the solenoid. The solenoid has two studs on it. I tried connecting them up the way I thought but I can't get it to turn over.
I took a screwdriver and shorted the two post together and tried to jump it but I must have the wires wrong as it sparked and was a short.
Any help would be appreciated.

you have a big wire that will run from your battery to the top post as well as your your little wire then your wire coming up from the starter hooks to the bottom post hope this helps
