Ok I think I might have found the one. Its a 1999 Yamaha Wolverine 350 4x4. Looks like its in excellent condition. Can't look at it in person until Saturday so hopefully I'll bring it home and the search will be over. Looks stock with the exception of an FMF pipe and a Warn 424 disconnect. Price is $1300, seems fair as long as it runs good.

A guy did call me today with a 93 Honda Fourtrax 300 4x4. It looks nice and has some nice wheels and tires on it, but I just don't know about buying one that old. Although a 99 is pretty old too.

This one used to be yellow. Over time some blue flakes off here n there and I just hit those spots with another can of paint. Wipe the overspray off with a paper towel and some brake cleaner. Its nice paint... has the metal flake in it.

That does look nice.

From what I've read I think I'll be happy with a wolverine. I know that warriors are pretty reliable and since it shares the same engine I figured it should be ok. The wolverine is really clean and its a one owner quad. He has all if the service records since new. Hopefully it will pan out and ill post some pictures.

The warrior is nice with its 6 speed gearbox and reverse from any gear (dont have to find neutral). Its a heavy engine with no backup starting method if the battery dies. I don't know anything about a wolverine though.

It's basically a 4 wheel drive shaft driven warrior.
