sorry- meant 500 ho. I've owned too many atv's and engines start blending together after a while

that 07 500 4x4 scrambler didn't have the proper weight / power ratio imho.
it actually felt heavier than my outty 800 max xt.
the front end pushed all the deflection through the bars- and the sra rear end was just clumsy in any moderately rough trail.
it didn't perform well as a sport quad, or as a utility atv.
that was my experience with it anyway, compared to the other few dozen atv's I've owned.

have to disagree with you there- especially when you're dealing with such wide hp gaps between big bore models.
a 600 lb atv with a 45 hp engine does not feel anything like a 600 lb atv with a 70hp engine.

I was more talking about dead weight not motor power. If someone thinks they can body English a 600lb machine more then a 700ilb machine there living in a fantasy .

Its like noticing Ford made the new 2013 F-150 500lbs lighter than the 2012. Does it really matter?

it really all depends on where the 500lbs came from- weight is not created equal drop a 500 lb weight in your new 2013 bed and you'll notice that 500lbs a lot! anyone who rides a factory 2-up atv knows the difference between tossing around a 700 lb atv with a passenger, and without one. 100 lbs on a 600 - 700 lb atv is a big difference, you're talking about adding about 20% of the total weight- you'll most definitely notice that!

ski boats are a great example- you can easily tell the difference of 200 lbs depending where it is located in a boat weighing 3500 lbs.

Im getting past the looks aspect as well.

I dont think atv's in general look as good as they used to. At the end of the day i would rather ride out of the bush then worry about looks though.

I have my more favorite looking ones though.

if atv's were the same price they were in 2004 I wouldn't be so hung up on having an awesome looking atv... but since the prices have doubled, my atv better look like it's the baddest thing on 4 wheels!

I think most people take pride in having a "bad-***" looking atv, and there's nothing wrong with that. I know I do. I love looking at other atv's and seeing what mods their owners did to improve ascetics.
