Polaris Trailblazer engine transplant?!?!
#1
I have owned a 2001 polaris trailblazer 250 for a while and put a clutch kit in but still want more power. I have been looking at the older polaris sport/trailblazer/scrambler 400 and was wondering if one of those engines could be swapped for mine. Please help me and if you can tell me how i could go about doing this!!

You can swap it out,BUT you'd have to have the complete ignition system and modules, radiator and hoses along with the engine, plus the time and effort involved. The cost would be more than to just trade up to a larger machine. There are other performance places that can bring more power to the 250 at a price, but you're limited because of just the way the engine is designed It's a piston port low compression engine. You can look on You Tube and see all kinds of atv's with everything from 4 cylinder street bike engines to jet engines. All it takes is money. If you want a 400 I would just buy one complete. OPT

AAEN performance has stage 1 through 4 kits. The stage 4 has as much horsepower as a stock 500 4-stroke. Not bad for a 250. Aaen Performance - Polaris ATV Trailblazer 250
