For the entire plastic on an atv the lady said I am looking about $300 and I get a 3 year warranty on it. I am thinking that might be the route we go. She said she may cut us a deal if she can use the atv for pictures on their website, catalog and brochures.
Thus meaning I could buy the atv I want her to have which would save close to 2 grand, spend a few hundred and everyone is happy!

Sounds like a good use of $300! Will just require a bit of time to dismantle the plastics and then put it back together but looks to be completely worth it. Good luck and post some before and after pics.

To bad about the white problem, not many white 4x4 ATVs, that sure eliminates many good ATVs.
Can't believe the the 420 Rancher cost $1600 more then the 570 Sportsman.
The 570 is larger physically, has way more power and true AWD with a low range.
The 570 would beat out a more expensive 500 Foreman/Rubicon and even Rincon if they through them together in a shootout.
The 420 is suppose to be a budget ATV ATV Comparison - Budget 4x4 ATVs Reviewed. and does not over whelm.
The older discontinued 500 Sportsman beats out the 500 Rubicon easily let alone the improved 570. 4x4 ATVs Comparison Test Report - What's the Best 500 Utility ATV?
The Rubicon cost a lot more then a Rancher.
Paying $1600 more for a 3wd 26hp with little 24" tires over a Full sized 4wd, 40+hp ATV is crazy. Should be the other way around on those prices.
A 455 Sportsman would beat a 420 Rancher any day and it cost less then the new 570.
White? get a can of spray paint, thrown in with the deal and get a 450 Grizzly.

The price difference is justified considering it's the top of the line rancher vs the budget sportsman. EPS, dual a arms vs struts, dual clutch auto transmission with a esp option vs a belt driven cvt, Americans assemble the honda, Mexicans assemble the polaris. It's all about preference. The rancher will certainly be more fun to rip around trails but the sportsman will be faster and better in the mud. If she plans on keeping it stock , I'd go with the rancher. If she wants big mud tires and a lift kit, the sportsman would be the better choice. Also the rubicon is available in white for 2014. The Hondamatic is a work of art

Polaris said they are moving SOME of their production to Mexico and some of that will be exported to Europe and other places outside the U.S. I haven't seen a Mexican Polaris yet and probably won't. The plan is to sell American ATVs for the northern states and only sell the Mexican ones in the south. At least that's what they said. It's easy enough to check the first digit of the VIN to know where each one is made. Just like cars 1, 4, and 5 are American made. 2 is Canadian, 3 is Mexican, and J is Japanese. I don't think anyone should buy one with a number 3. That goes for cars too. I think both of my brothers bought Mexican trucks and that was after one of them buying a Mexican truck that was a POS.

buy her one with the eps... she'll love you long time
eps is the best feature on the atv since the cvt!

Just because Honda is the last hold out on old tech stuff like rear mechanical drum brakes , OHV and 3wd limited slip with no lockers does not make it a good idea.

what's wrong with CVT?
sleds, cars, trucks and motorcycles are all now using CVT's. I've never had a single problem with any 4x4 CVT ATV- and I ride'em deep & wet as you can see in my album pics; through rivers, ponds, mud holes, steep rocky mountains... and that's with a stock factory cvt- noo messing with the cover or silly snorkels.
I've owned 23 4x4 atv's over the past 6 years and I NEVER had an issue with any CVT.
Ironically- the only two 4x4 atv's I DID have issues with were my "like new" Honda Rincons that refused to shift in cold temps.

I don't understand what you mean by "a serious 4x4 ATV to be made that's not a CVT" ....
