I've been thinking about this since I posted yesterday. My friend with a Sportsman 335 doesn't have enough power but a 400 would probably do the job. Still there are more choices in 500s. I think everybody makes one.

 

Actually a used Suzuki Vinson would fit the need. I have an 03 Vinson that I use for both work and play. I love it, has enought power to pull 8 -10' logs in low range. I pull my 16' trailer with it. Also have a 16 cubic foot cart the I fill with split wood and pull to my wood rack.

If you look around you can find good used Vinson at a reasonable price.

Well, I ended up taking the advice and getting a larger machine. Ended up with the Polaris 570. I've been searching for used ones but hadn't been coming across much so I ended up going with a new one. Seemed to be a pretty good value and also a sale at the local place!


Now that I did I am glad I have the bigger machine for working the "farm".
