I used to look at the prices on gasbuddy.com sometimes to see where the best price was on my side of town. Now I just gas up at the grocery store since I get some money off. Gas is usually a little higher on the west side of town than the east side for no reason I can see but it's not worth driving across town for. Here's gasbuddy. I still use gasbuddy. Even though the prices have gotten cheaper, I haven't.

The price can vary up to 20¢ within 3 miles of each other here. When the truck is on empty, that can be a pretty good savings.

When I fill the bike up, we're talking 4 gallons total. Don't really care about the price so much then.

I go to my local Casey's in town a lot for gas for my quad and lawnmower as I'm only about 2 blocks from it. Its usually a few cents more than the next town but you can't drive a 10 mile round trip to save 5 cents per gallon. Not to mention the extra time to do so, many times that's more important to me.

Best price I've seen up here in Maine, $1.88 /gallon at Sam's Club in Bangor. Unfortunately, both of my Dodges run hot cams and are tuned for 93 octane, hard to find and more like $2.50/ gallon. Still $50 to fill my Ram and $35 for my Magnum wagon. If it gets to $4 / gal , I'll detune to regular and save money on gas and rear tires. My Arctic Cat however runs great on regular, unless someone here can tell me how to do an offset key to advance the timing to run 93 octane?

It got all the way down to $1.64/gallon locally here. Spiked a bit over the holidays but is down to $1.70/gallon as of today. Its unreal how much more it costs around Chicago though, $3/gallon and up is common. I think the only places around here that has 93 octane are the Shell stations but its not that much more, about 30 cents more per gallon. I have one of those nearby if I ever had a vehicle that required it.

I remember the first 15-20 years I was driving there was always a 10 cent jump in octane prices. It seemed it was .89, .99. 1.09 respectively. Now there is sometimes 50-60 cents difference between the 89 and 93 octane.

Yep. My wife owns a Nissan Juke. Turbocharged 1.6L needs high octane. Just filled it up for her today. Regular Unleaded was $1.98. Premium 93 octane, $2.69.

While we are on the topic what octane do you guys run in you ATV's? I've heard the 93 octane does have the ethanol ( or at least not as much) as the lower octanes. Friend of mine does landscaping and he now runs 93 in everything. I've heard the ethanol we have in our gas here is bad on stuff.
