Anybody else loving the gas prices.

While we are on the topic what octane do you guys run in you ATV's? I've heard the 93 octane does have the ethanol ( or at least not as much) as the lower octanes. Friend of mine does landscaping and he now runs 93 in everything. I've heard the ethanol we have in our gas here is bad on stuff.

No getting away from it down here. Ethanol's in every grade including 93. Every 2,000 miles or so I have to throw a bottle of Techron in the old truck when it starts spitting and sputtering at an idle. Runs good for another 2,000 miles or so.My two cents if you run any higher grade than recommended you're just throwing money out the tail pipe.Higher grades don't ignite and burn as well on lower compression engines. Turbos and high compression engines, yes gotta have the high grade. My son found out on his Mazda turbo when he went cheap once when the station he stopped at was out of premium.Put a few bucks in and pinged until he finished filling up with 93 at another station.

Check your owner's manual but most quads don't require higher octane gas unless the engine has been heavily modified. A lot of 450 race quads require a minimum of 93 octane with modified engines, some even more than that. But comparing those to your stock utility quad is like comparing a Nascar Sprint Cup racecar to your pickup truck, they're nothing alike. The newer turbo side by sides probably require premium but that's probably about it.

VP-110™
Not your "standard" 110! Highest rated MON of any 110 fuel on the market. Formulated for use in naturally aspirated engines with CRs up to approximately 12:1-13:1. Good lower cost alternative.
TYPICAL VALUES
• Color: Purple
• Motor Octane 107
• Research Octane: 113
• R+M/2: 110
• Specific Gravity: .720-.735 at 60° F
Once you get a whiff of this or C12 108 you'll remember it. We used to keep a couple 5 gallon cans each for the modified motocross and enduro riders that mixed 50/50 with 93 pump gas.
Sorry for getting "off topic" again..

Read that OPEC is trying to run out the small shale operators in the US by flooding the market, but this might come back to haunt them.. Also glad that Al Jazeera US is shutting down cause one of the countries funding it is hurting because of low oil prices..
Hated Gore even more after he sold out to them for 500 million.

Wifes' Saturn was on a quarter of a tank.. Filled it to the brim for 20 bucks. Before the prices dropped it was taking right at 40 bucks under same conditions. I know it can't go on forever like this, but while it lasts this old retired couple's loving it..

$1.51 cheapest I've found down here so far. I still remember what I paid in 2007 at a 7-11 I stopped at going back and forth to work. $1.39.. Good for us, but bad for oil workers and now the stock market dropped.. Can't win for loosing on this type of situation.
