Hey everyone- I just signed up to the forum today with hopeful anticipation that I can get some help.

I was given a Tao Tao 110cc ATV (Boulder B1), and I cannot get it to start. I think the issue is that the previous owner shut it down with a remote kill switch, and now he is not able to find the remote. The local dealer told me that it simply will not fire up without the remote, but this is no longer an option for me. I'm on my second starter trying to figure this thing out.

I have replaced the starter, carb, battery, chain (in case it was binding? Doesn't make sense, but needed a new one anyway and NONE of this makes sense to me). I tried bypassing the safety switches by installing a push button start. When I try to start it, there is no smell of gas. Because of this, I assumed that the carb was just plugged. I have a brand new carb on it, and still nothing.

I'm seeing spark. But I'm not smelling gas.

Although... when I spray starter fluid directly into the carb, it starts RIGHT up. And then dies when the starter fluid is burned up.

Gas is clean, replaced all of the gas lines, and replaced the fuel filter. I have not tried adjusting the carb at this point, but now that I am typing this out....

Any help that you could give would be extremely helpful. At this point, I just want to get it running. I don't care about the lights (front or back). If I need to purchase a new CDI box, I am willing to do that.
