I bought a what I believe to be 1986 Suzuki LT230 Quadsport for a little project and it has the engine in it that I do not need. I was told the engine runs, but since I am in no need for it, I would like to sell it but I can not find out anywhere online the price I can sell it for.
The engine was spray painted at one point in time and it was done very poorly.
I am curious as to the value of the engine and how much I could sell it for on other sites?
If you can find a local buyer, you may be able to get $50-100 for the engine. If you want to ship it, then you won't sell it. Costs too much, and that engine is very reliable, so not much demand. Also kick-start only, since that seems to be an LT230S engine.

I have one person interested in the engine for $300. Shipping on the other hand, I've already told someone I will ship if they pay for it. The reason I have gotten luck so far is because of the parts that are inside of it like the Stator.
As for the kick start. The research I have done on the LT230, I have seen that the 86 has the kick start and reverse and the 87 is pull start. The VIN on the frame says its an 87 LT230EH. so it is just all out confusing lol

The LT230E Quadrunner has electric start with pull-start backup, while the LT230S QuadSport has kick start only and no battery. Looks like you have the former.
BTW, I have had 85, 86, and 87 LT230S units, and just sold an '87 for $700, mechanically refurbed but with crappy plastics and old tires.
