So I heard today that you can clip some ground wire at the CDI and it will deactivate the Rev Limiter? If not what can you do to soup this puppy up short of internal engine mods?

What about a Raptor cam? THat would give it more pep....and should still retain good low end power. I think the rhino has a lot of potential with a proven engine.

From what I heard the other day is that the Grizzley CDI gives it like a major hop up in performance gains. I was looking into getting one but for right now the demand is too high and so is the price...... I will wait about 6 months and try it again.

I donno why you guys are tryin to push more ponies out of the Rhino, but I can see why you'd want the rev limiter bypassed. The Rhino has tons of power and I never felt the need to go over 35 mph! The way I see it is if you put to much more power under that thing it will exceed the handling capabilities very easily. The more speed and power you have the better suspension you will need to keep that thing on the road (especially since it so top heavy). It just seems like that kind of vehicle and the type of work it's made for doesn't need anymore power than it has, especially when it (IMO) accelerates and goes fast enough. I'm just happy with how Yamaha tuned it from the factory. To much modification might not be good on a machine like this one.
