Yamaha Pro Hauler?
#1
I was looking at their website and noticed the history of the Yamaha atv's under "company". It listed this and the Terrapro, anybody have or seen one? The Pro Hauler looks like a Timberwolf that has been hacked off at the rear wheels and a flatbed frankensteined onto it and is powered by the same motor as the Timberwolf. Can not imagine the hauling capacity being very much. The other one was outfitted with a PTO. It looks like a normal quad and at least they gave it decent motor.
I also saw the old Shaft driven 225 3-wheeler that I rode, it tried to kill me many times but I outlasted it. AlaskaBoy.

If I was going to get one I would get the Rhino, but better vehicle and lots of power. The Pro hauler I believe has the 350 warrior motor in it and the Rhino has the Raptor motor if I am not mistaken.

A buddy of mine had/has a Pro Hauler. He used it around the farm to haul stuff on. It was SUPER low geared, probably topped out around 25mph. It seems like it was a good bit longer than a normal quad too. It would pull like a mule and haul like on too.

Forrestry service used to have a fleet of Terra Pro's they used to cut the grass in their parks. One of our club members has one too. Pretty impressive for a nearly 20 year old bike

The local university has a few TerraPros they bought from us new. Still going strong.
Those things have a manual clutch and have low enough gearing to put any current big bore in 2WD mode to the test.

So Knowsalot, was it a popular machine or did it fizzle? Do you know anything about the Polaris diesel quad they made? That one seemed like it was just to heavy to do anything with.
Thanks for all the replies. AlaskaBoy.

The reason the Terrapro didn't fly among the masses was the pricey implements for it..... Mowing deck, water pumps, post hole diggers, etc. etc.
If you ouldn't afford the equipment, there no need to buy one.
By todays standards though, the attachments werent that high....LOL
All we ever sold any to were Miss State University, a landscaping ompany, and a roofing company [don't know why...they bought two...LOL]
