You would think with all the kids 150cc quads out there there would be some more options. They gotta be racing those things. Been wondering if they would let me and my brother (with his rhino) race in the local tt races in the utility quad class.
Went to gander to pick up some aluminum ramps (which of course they didn't have) and saw the carter talon 150 2 seater sitting out front. Everything was exactly like my 2004 twister except it had a bench seat, different tires, no blinkers, slightly different front end, but it did have a cool camo bikini top. It did not have the updates the new twisters have like the alloy wheels, reverse gear mount, airbox, etc. but it is 500 dollars cheaper! I definetly would have bought this over the twister with that price difference, still can't figure out what i need blinkers for? Whenever I run through some water, the dash makes that clicking sound until it dries out.
Oh yeah, the new twister also has a different airboot for the cvt that points up and back.

Nice!... that exhaust looks the way it should be with an adjustable clamp on support so it will fit carts with different geometry.
Other than the performance parts, and squared off rear tires, they look just like the KPX models. Even the colors of the double seaters there.
Looking again, I swear the double seaters are KPX Xterros. On the doubles, the rear tires aren't square. Same headlights, seats, color...everything. Even the
color of the shock coils is the same as mine. Now I see the pipe is aftermarket and $279 extra... pipe and filter/velocity stack.
Hey , cool. More places for parts.

I don't know, might as well run a drag pipe! not much exhaust packing there.
I am sure these are either kpx's or identical. I don't know why they even bother to change
the look of the front end on these things. I think at the factory they just slap whatever tire combo they have at the time onto them with the directional tractor tread being the newest. I would like to bolt on the smaller tires and try them out, should spin better which is needed in creek beds. weighed a back wheel a few days ago and it came in at a whopping 30lbs!! thats a total of 60lbs just for rear tires and rims!

It's definately a KPX. The model number on the spec sheet gives it away. The pipe and filter kit on that one is the same as what I am running. And they are very near a drag pipe. VERY loud. I'm planning on building my own here soon. As I think they are now costing me some power on my modified motors.

New chinese buggy site www.awesomebuggys.com has information on a new revised 2005 KPX type cart. Looks very similar to KPX, but has a few more options.... horns, etc. And it is mentioning in their EBAY adds that there are performance upgrades to reach 12 hp... including New CDI, Larger Carburator, and updated ignition. Looks like they are going to be fully up and running in the next few weeks. May be a good source for upgrade parts. The new CDI has me interested.
