Awesome Buggys responded that the jet size went up only 0.002 inches... that sounds like it went from 108 to 110. Big deal. Not sure if this is correct or not. What I was expecting was a statement of which jet was used... not how much bigger it was. Oh well.

Stu is the man ... he is the President of Blade Powersports. I guess the future will tell, but he seems to be as hands-on and as passionate about a product as can be. Like I mentioned, I've purchased a 2 seater from him. From the beginning, he has been prompt and responsive. Since I'm soon to have mine, I'm very curious about upgrades and improvements. I'm one for speed like most, but I've owned dirt bikes and sport bikes where excelleration is just as much of a rush. I'm just as interested in bottom as I am top.

I read the posts every day. Once mine arrives, I'll be jumping in a little more frequently. For now, I do want to touch on the pipe upgrade. Years back, the first thing I did with my dirt bikes was to buy a real pipe. It wasn't about sound, it was about performance. I read a post where one of you spoke of how loud your machine was. Our Blade is actually going to be a "family" toy. But I know what a pipe can do for a bike. So, again, how much does a "performance" pipe really help these machines ... and, do they sell one that isn't ear piercing?? Though my girls would probably say COOL, the wife would probably look at me with some stupid look and say, why did you make it so loud ... can't you turn it down!

Joe, like I stated before, I am very satisfied with the pipe from eastside. It is very mellow, I don't think it is loud enough to annoy my neighbors too much. I would definetly purchase it again, it gave me more power to climb hills and came with a much better air filter. I have no experience with the toy junkies pipe but judging from the pictures, it looks like mine has much more packing and also a much larger inside diameter. The pipe is much larger than stock at the head and steps up 3 times before going into the exhaust. The exhaust says something about xr's on it so it may be for an xr. Anyway, I think it has removeable packing, has bolts at both the front and rear of canister. Also has a nice chrome look finish too it they called Jet finish? (canister is bare aluminum)

You don't have to worry about putting ear plugs in your kid if that is what you are worried about. If you look at my pictures, I have one of the pipe where you can see the larger diameter of it. good luck.

That's what I wanted to hear! Your pipe seems to be what I'm looking for. You stated "Eastside," but I don't know who that is ... can you provide an email address or website? Also, what kind of price range are we talking about? And, more importantly, is this a universal fit for these type of engines? I guess I should ask ... will it likely fit the Blade, or do you believe that modifications will be required?

Thanks!
Joe

http://www.eastsidems.com

goto shop online and click the eastside parts catalog, then click on 150cc cart performance. You will need the kit, not just the pipe.

If I were you I would wait until your buggy got there and then look underneath to see if the pipe angle looks like the picture hopsterguy has in his photo. Your buggy is just too new to know for sure. If it is dazon type engine, it may not fit. Then again, eastside says they fit dazon, so maybe they have a slightly different pipe for that. If your cart has the 2 chain setup, it probably is a dazon clone, even if the dealer says it has a different engine.

good luck

oh yeah, sandhighway has the very cool but pricey white bros if you do have a dazon engine.

That is going to be too hard to tell at this point. All we know is that the Blade carts have a different engine than the DAZON. But we don't know if the exhaust port is angled like the Dazon's is yet or not. If the Exhaust port is about 90 degress to the head, it will likely fit, or could be easily made to fit, but if there is a funky angle there then something else will have to be used. The White Brothers pipe only fits the Dazon (as far as we know at this point) because the dazon exhaust port is angled towards the rear of the cart. Again, this shows the differences that can crop up in these carts. The frames, however, are essentially the same. So we should all be good for suspension parts, etc.

Looking at those pics gives me another idea. How about using longer studs and a thicker spacer to get the XTV's carb above the Xterro's frame rail?

Yes, that could work. I didn't check for contact with the storage rack. Not sure how much room is there at full shock deflection. I think it would work okay. Either that or find manifold with proper bolt spacing that twists the carburetor to the side. Would put the air filter in the path of more mud, etc, but I don't think it would be that bad. Put an outer wear on it, and there should be no worries.
