Raising the compression by milling the yerf head made all the difference, I think it will be worth the trouble. As I said before, did nothing for top end but it is a hill climber now.

I was concerned about the bottom of the head becoming flat until reading these, very interesting.

scroll down to where the links to SQUISH BAND are.

changed my mind about hemi head design.

Top speed on these karts is simply a matter of gearing. It's a trade off. Higher top speed = slower acceleration.

Though if that truely is a 175cc buggy, it has a little better HP out of the box and will be better able to deal with the higher gearing.

Be warned... I emailed that seller several times a few days ago for more details ... and they don't bother getting back with answers to questions.

So I'd stay far away...

IMHO

I placed bid on the 175cc Kart on EBAY a few days back and did not win auction but the seller has contacted me with an offer to buy one with the second chance option at my original bid offer of $1850. I responded and asked what would be the total cost with shipping to FL and did not get a reply either however today I checked my earthlink spam blocker and his reply was in there and said that the price included shipping. I think I have up to 4/24 to take the offer and I was trying to get more info first on these different type off road karts.

If there weren't so many things wrong with the other specs in that auction I'd say thats a really good deal.

But there are numerous things WAY off there.

I have also seen this 2500ccLC for sale on EBAY http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=46105.

I called Toy Junkies today and they are no longer selling the KPX but something called the Joiner(sp) I think they called it and the SAHARA

The auction is a Peirspeed... they look like good buggys. Pretty big, and slow (why is SPEED in the name???) but
they are said to have good low end torque.

The Sahara is another cart made by Kinroad.

I'm not a bid fan of the Joyners... very big and heavy... but who knows, maybe they would surprise me.

The 175cc kart on Ebay mentioned above looks to be the same Kart as the Kinroad kart http://kinroad.en.alibaba.com/

The Peirspeed web page has a video that shows them running around through ditches and some mud they look like they have torque and some speed.
