Mine has a 145 which must be a mistake, probably meant to send a 115 or something. Already did away with the stock airbox, now has a unifilter.

eddie,
are you still having trouble with yours? I called the guy in cadiz and he said he wouldn't come off the 2750 price so I went to Gander and got it for 2700 (before tax). My thinking was that theirs would probably be the newest version with the good tires. If I had known about the KPX's I would have ordered one of those, I am not big on the cheesy blinkers and horn on mine.

First time in lbl and the very first jump, about 3', it did a nosedive and landed on the front of the frame. That was quite a painful lesson. Dead stop, with lots of dirt and gravel covering me and even making it up under my goggles. It just doesn't have the power to pick the front end up enough to land level for a steep jump. I thought the suspension held up pretty good though. Its not something I would do with my 3 year old in it anyway.

Yes now it seems to have a charging problem. Seem the lights run the battery down. I think I got one of the first 6 at Cadiz. He said after the first 10 the price was going up. Mine has the tires like the link you posted and has horn and turn signals.

I am sorry to hear you are still having problems. I like to just go out get in and drive, like my toyota truck. Have you solved the problem with the seatbelts? Mine just vibrate until they slip and get really loose. I put my 3 year old boy on a booster seat so the belt fits better. thinking of duct taping them.

Is there anyware close that has some trails? I live in Reidland and when I drive east on I-24, near the waterskiing place on the right I see trails sometimes. Somewhere between husbands rd. and Exit 16.

I have to back this thing up into my small Toyota truck, one wheel goes over the wheel well and the front tires stick out on the tailgate. Looks pretty funny going down the highway!

Kelly (yeah, I'm a dude not a chick)

I havent tried to do anything with the seat belts. He told me at the Cadiz store that some people duct tape them. I also drive my 3 year old around. There are trails back where I live on Little Cypress Rd. off of 62 first road to the left into Marshall. back on the Tennessee River. I also have 4 Military Jeeps. opps I mean 5 I cant keep them straight.

Allright,
I jacked up the backend of the Twister and oiled the chain with the cart running (wheels moving) and noticed the reverse gear assembly wobbling. Has anyone else noticed this? Looks like the shaft is fine, just the whole housing wobbles. The sprocket looks pretty good so I don't think it is making the chain tight and slack.

Eddie,
Are these trails on the river? Hills and stuff? I may have to come check them out sometime. Got to get another jet from FDR today. Think I'll try a 135 since it runs better with the 145 than the 108.

Theres some close to the river , some dirt roads thru crop land. A few trails in the woods, but you have to drive on the road some to get to them.

Here's my latest update on the Twister buggy with pipe and jet kit.

Sort of got the jetting about right and took it for some serious creek riding with my son.
I am really impressed with the increased hill climbing ability that the pipe gave it. It has
a lot more low end grunt, right where you need it. It did almost nothing for top end, so
top speed is still pretty slow, I would guess around 30-35.

Got stuck in the sandy/rocky creek bottom a couple of times. Its really soft and the buggy
just dug right in. The fast sections where a blast though. My butt got wet though going through
the wet sections. I didn't want to go in too deep water because of the transmission. Water
came flooding in on top of the floorboards, my son sits on a booster seat so he didn't get wet.
Probably the deepest was a foot or so. The taller tires on the 2 seat version helps in this area.
Also, most of the hills have ruts so a taller tire helps keep the sprocket and brake from dragging as
bad.

So far it's holding up fairly well. When I first got it I did some stupid stuff like jumping it a bunch
and now every one of the wheels slightly wobbles (could have been this way from the factory though)
Some things vibrate loose, lost a grease fitting, rollcage needs tightening every once in a while.
SMOKES LIKE CRAZY when I start it. After it runs a little bit it stops though. I guess oil is leaking past
the valves or something, not used to seeing the cylinder layed over like that, maybe that has something
to do with it. Still needs lots more power though. Wish I could bolt on something with a CVT transmission
that wouldn't require too much fabrication. Looked into getting a whole 250 chinese quad and just
taking the engine off, that may be a fairly inexpensive option.

Anyway, I had so much fun I am thinking of getting the one seat version.
It should be quite a bit lighter. I would take the rack off, maybe get some aluminum rims,
cut any excess metal off the frame. Looks like on the single seater, you might be able to remount
the front shocks for more travel. I know on ebay they are selling for about $1400 plus shipping.
that sounds like a pretty good deal for cheap fun.

If it only smokes at start up, then the valve seals are most likely the culprit.

Raptoraz,
Do you think the Yerf Dog head is worth looking into?
I would like to get a look at the 250 engine they are putting into
4-wheelers and see if it would bolt on fairly easily. I guess the main
problem is the sprocket needing to be where the pivot is.

thanks,
Kell

Oh yeah,
does anyone know if the rear bolt pattern matches up to anything else?
I think it is a 133? that sounds pretty oddball. the front is 110
thanks
