Default New 800cc Off Road Go kart

slimefink,

I am looking at purchasing the mamba 800cc or the new 1000cc buggy. I wondered if you could send any pictures and instructions of the mods you needed to make to your 800cc mamba to make it work at the dunes? I too am purchasing this buggy for my wife. The price works for me compared to a rhino or ranger.

Thanks!

HEY all its me again still have not pulled the trigger yet, after reading some of these posts I am wondering if anyone is have the same issues with the fuel injected models (distrubutor, stalling, etc) the one we have been looking at is the 4 seater with fuel injection, if so has anyone thought about putting another type of small lightweight motor in here, say a turbo or supercharged 4 cy from toyota or honda? then a 50 gallon drum of locktight?

I have had the fuel injection model for a year now,It has a lot of spank, sounds like quite a bit more than the carb. models.

I just installed the new low range transmission and the custom"gorilla" axles from superkart.com. made a huge difference in climbing and acceleration.

Mike cove at 3tech.com is familiar with this motor and has shaved the head, ported and polished it, and did a cam regrind for a member at buggynews.com. It is a suzuki F8b motor, you can down load the engine manual from BN as well. It was used in the suzuki city baby, mighty boy 4x4, and capuchino as well as many others.

There are many upgrades available...turbo, headers, weber carb, parts can be ordered through awsomebuggy.com or venom motors

OK, I have read through this topic and you guys definitely have some experience now with these 800cc buggies.

I just purchased one and have a couple of questions:
- towing? I know this is a can of worms, but could these be flat towed with a tow bar? other than tire wear...is there a tranny problem running these in Neutral w/o the motor on? Will the upper bearings/gears get lubed? Anything else I should know. (reason: don't want the hassle of storing a trailer and associated dead tow weight!!)

-Trailering, is there a good light weigh trailer that somebody seems to have had success with.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have been researching this buggy for awhile now and have been looking at the fuel injected model. Have you had any of the problems that have plagued those in past few years? It seems that the fule injection has solved some of the power issues and Roketa has seemed to have worked out some of the bugs.
