I have an 06 rhino 660 and I'm being told that the fan on the side of the eng. can be removed without a problem. I know it pulls the power way down when under water for any time. I also know someone much smarter than I put it there for a reason.

Can it be removed YES or NO?

 

yes it can be removed...it took away the sputtering when in deep water i havent had any problems with it overheating

I'll look for ya as I have ridden there a few times myself. I have a green one with 27" 589s.

Do you know Todd @ coast cycle world? He has a snorkel-em snorkel kit on his. I was going to ask him to let me look at it (take a few pics) and build one off of it.
