Default First ride in Rhino

I got a chance to drive a Rhino yesterday for the first time. I have been wanting to do this for some time. I currently have a 680 Rincon and have been thinking of going to a side-by-side. The Rhino is the only one I am considering.
It had a very nice ride and the controls felt great except for the throttle. I noticed after a while my foot was cramping from the angle that I had to hold it. This may be something that you get used to as you ride more. Also I noticed the engine was very loud in the cab area. I was wondering if you could use some sound insulation to dampen the noise. Last, it seemed to be a little underpowered when taking off from a stop. I know this is a much heavier vehicle than an atv so I am sure that is why. I did really like the machine though. I am sure a few mods would help.

Default First ride in Rhino

I traded in my '04 Rincon for a Rhino 2 weeks ago. I had ridden in one at the dunes but never had driven one. So, I guess it was sort of a blind trade. I hurt my back the day before I took delivery so I was unable to drive it until yesterday. Took a little getting used to. I have never had a belt drive and was disappointed at first. I liked the Rincon tranny better than anything out there and the belt drive was such a change. Kept waiting for it to change gears but knew it wouldn't. After a couple of hours behind the wheel, I was much more pleased with it. I think it is a keeper. My wife took to it like a duck to water. After hitting low branches, brush, etc. I told her to take a rest and we would try it again because I think there is a couple of trees she missed.

It would limit out at 41 mph. I understand a controller will help that.

I think the most of the engine noise is from the air intake directly under the vent on the engine cover.
