JUST BOUGHT AN 07 RHINO 660 - HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT YET BUT HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT THE AIR INTAKE NOISE - IS THERE ANY SOLUTION ? RE-ROUTE THE AIR INTAKE ? OR SOUND INSULATE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ?
DOES THE RHINO HAVE A HIGHER RPM OPERATING RANGE THAN THE OTHERS ?
THANKS DGF

I WOULD BE MORE WORRIED ABOUT THE FUEL TANK ON THE 07'..
I BOUGHT AN 07 AND HAVE ABOUT 10 HOURS ON IT AND HAVE WENT THROUGH ABOUT 5 FUEL FILTERS.....
SOME TANKS ON 07'S HAVE TANK SHAVINGS LEFT IN THEM,I HAVE FOUND WHITE CHUNKS IN THE FUEL FILTERS...

I HAVE SEEN THIS ON 4 OF THE 07 RHINO'S THAT OUR DEALERSHIP HAS GOT.

I have an 07 and havn't noticed the noise until you mentioned it. Its not bad at all. I cant see any rerouting that would reduce noise without creating more intake restriction. You certainly don't want any more restriction to the ait trying to get into your engine. If you think the intake noise is bad put one of the many available pipes on it and you really won't hear it any more.

" If you think the intake noise is bad put one of the many available pipes on it and you really won't hear it any more". (How true.....!) Sad part is a pipe alone just makes noise and no real extra power...

I had a funny situation with the intake.... My daughter and a friend took off for a night ride in my rhino @ Glamis last year, but came back right away. They said it was running bad.... We looked it over, couldn't find a problem and so sent them back out. They again came back real quick with the same problem.... We finally figured out that that they had a blanket in the Rhino, through it over them and covered the intake.... so it wasn't getting enough air.. Doah!!!

Hey! It's a RHINO....NOT A WHINO!!!! Just ride it!!!!

LOL...seriously, you're going to love it. I don't know anything about the intake noise but I do know about the tank. I've run two or three tanks through mine and have already had the filter replaced. I think I'm going to switch to the large automobile type and that should help.
